I got this for about $160 and it's an EXCELLENT product for the price. From my searches, real wood table tops are at least $500. This appears to be real wood BUT it's butcher block, meaning it's pieces of real wood \"glued\" together. That's probably why the price is so good - however the quality is excellent! My very minor complaint is that it's very heavy at about 60lbs. BUT it's also 1.5\" thick so overall I still give this a 5 out of 5 stars. But just be aware of the weight, especially if you're using it for a standing desk like I am.
