I used the chimney cleaning kit for the first and have to say that it's a very impressive and easy to use tool. The rods are lightweight with a very good locking system. The use of a drill to power them up the liner is what makes this so easy to use. By reversing the drill, the liner is cleaned on the way down and avoids the need to do a second run. The chimney is now very clean and has improved the performance of the stove. Thank you for a product that does what it says.

Perfect for the job
Very easy to use, certainly strong enough to last a good while. Rods are more than flexible enough to cope with the bending to access the flue and the joints deal with being used with an electric drill. All in all a useful tool

These are good quality items at a reasonable price. They are easy to use and do the job. The flail type brush makes it easy to sweep a piped flu through the stove as it will easily fit through into the flu.

I had been wanting to get my log burner flu cleaned for a while, figured it couldn’t be that hard to do it myself. So took a punt on the Vevor kit. It arrived promptly, locking mechanism on the rods seems secure, rods were flexible enough to go through my stove door and round the angles in the chimney, I had no issues using it. Wondered whether my cheap battery drill would rotate it OK, but it did with no problems. Wondered if the brush would be effective, certainly seemed to be, plenty of soot was brought down into the stove. Very happy with the purchase, see no reason I can’t be using it to clean my flu for the next twenty years.

Works as I hoped
I have a wood stove which was becoming smokier and harder to light - not enough air flow. I added the rods one at a time, using my Dewalt drill to rotate the brush after attaching each length, then removing one length at a time and rotating again on the way down. Slow and steady, careful not to over-rev the drill. The rods were strong enough to push all the 8 metres up and supple enough to bend into the chimney when pushing in from the front of the fire. I removed a rubble sack of gritty deposit, which collected in the body of the fire (it didn’t billow into the room) and the fire works as it did when first installed. Now I have the brushes, I’ll make this an annual process.
