Worth taking your time with this I fitted 2 x 100ft rolls on 22 panels in 3 separate arrays. The mesh is nice and stiff and sits nicely against the panels and roof. My roof is slates, so nice flat surface. Some people recommend cutting into lengths to make handling easier, but I used whole pieces for each sides of the panel arrays. Make a lengthways bend in the mesh to either sit flat or at 45 degrees against the tiles and stiffen it. You can also cut separate pieces for the corners to help reinforce and provide additional attachment points. I found it helpful to lock it also with some zip ties. Very fiddly, best to use some small electrical snips to cut and form the mesh to hook it together, but I’m very happy with the result. I was also able to find some rubber extrusion to fill the gaps between the panels to prevent any leaves, etc going down between and under the panels and get trapped behind the mesh. Should be fit and forget hopefully! The fixings work well, but the aluminium wire hooks are extremely soft and the washers can come loose if you don’t get it right first time. I wanted all metal fixings as I was worried that plastic clips would break or degrade in time with UV. I found bending the end of the hooks up whilst pulling on them against the washer gave a nice tight fixing and kept everything flat. Cut off the excess length of the hook with electrical snips afterwards.
