It have a lot of fittings for different size tie rods. My toyota yaris used the two smallest fitting. There is two indentation on the tie rods that the fitting goes into. You slide the tie rods into the metal tubes and line the cut out at the end on the tube with the fitting. You secure the fitting in place by twisting the ring on the tube. You then pull the fitting toward yourself so the fitting grabbed onto the indent of the tie rods. Then, You use a 1/2 ratchet or breaker bar and remove the tie rods. There's no other device that I found that would remove the tie rod because tie rods is round and have grease on them, making it difficult for tools to grab onto the tie rods. This device made replacing tie rods very easy. The only cons is it is hard to twist the ring to secure the fitting in place. This products would have been a five star if it was made with the ring on the tube easier to grab and rotate.
