This is okay for beginners but a pro would not like it. The wood in the bottom and top board have spaces between them. I think the wood shrank after dipping. I would have been better if the bottom and top was one solid piece of wood not boards side by side. I have to seal them up with wood sealant due to hive beetles and fire ants. The view ports needs Plexiglass recessed like the old summerhawk hives. Bees will seal it up without plexiglass. This is starter hive material.

It isn’t perfect but the price is right.

I would have give this 5* but strangely it's not got the standard Langstroth top bee space which has meant that I have had to modify it so that it is totally compatible with Langstroth standard equipment. If you haven't got equipment to cut out the standard top bee space then it makes things difficult. This is required for a deep brood box in order to put on a Queen Excluder.

I would have given a complete 5* rating across the board had the base come with a varroa mite screen.

Very pleased with the rapid delivery,the ease of assembly and of course the price ,suits my needs ,all I need now is the bees,well done to all at vevor ,excellent service and unbelievable Delivery time
