The wind generator arrived quickly, the box was in good condition. All contents were as described in the listing. Tim P

I like this turbine because it is very light. I connected it with a GTI. I had to purchase a new rectifier to connect it to the grid tied inverter. Overall I am very satisfied.

A good turbine with low wind start up

combined with my solar panels it keeps the battery,s full what i lose during the night hours when solar is not workingset up is easy it all comes in one box bolt / nuts blades nice , only wish to now if there are spare blades .

The device itself is great at self regulating speed, Its solid blades and controller should survive strong wind conditions. I so far have not been able to hear any blade noise compared to a traditional wind turbine. It does best in high wind(It has a low turning resistance thanks to the large bearings but needs good RPM for power output).The unit appears to be powder coated and the blades are a fibreglass reinforced polymer. If some anti-seize/ grease is placed on the bolts for the blades it should last a while without maintenance as the generator part looks to be watertight(Sealed with an o-ring). I will have to test how well the device performed over time but as it nearly winter now is the best time to have it up and running.

Seems to be a good package for the price, the components and body of the generator are all metal. Not tested yet as it appears that the supplied wind controller that is about 3 or 4 cm shorter than the one in the photographs and is a square block, not rectangular, does not offer wind braking once your batteries are full and would mean that the blades would not brake, but instead freewheel which is bad for the product. The supplied instructions show a manual brake for the generator. These work by shorting the output of the turbine to slow or stop it. but this is not included. You can purchase a wind turbine controller similar to the one in the photos quite cheaply separately if you do a search on the internet. Something to bear in mind if you intend to use it in a windy location! This is for camping and caravanning occasional use on the coast. you will also need to purchase an adaptor, its called a wind turbine flange 102mm o/d, and takes the base of the turbine and connects it to a 44mm o/d pipe for the pole.
