27 Pcs Metal Gears, Great Upgrade
27Pcs set bought to replace the plastic gears supplied with the CJ18 Mini lathe. A couple of gears needed a little deburr but nothing major. Fit is good and overall very happy with my purchase.

I'm happy with my Purchase !!!
I'm Contented with the upgrade .....Steel gears fit my lathe anyway and are far superior than the nylon standard gears !!

You Need These, toss the plastic crap
Upon visual examination I found some imperfections in the gears that needed to be addressed but other than that these gears are much better than the plastic pieces of crap that come as standard equipment for the mini lathe

Sounds like a VFR
Nicely made. My lathe now sounds like a VFR.

A bit undersized on the shaft but not bad otherwise.
I bought these for my 7x14 mini lathe. It came with plastic gears and one was already cracked when I got the lathe. This set includes all of the gears you'll need to replace your plastic gears including the two-speed gearset inside the headstock.Fit and finish isn't fantastic. The bore is slightly undersized so you'll have to lightly hone it to git your shafts. The teeth are sharp and have burrs. I cleaned them up with a wire wheel on my bench grinder and that really helped. This kit includes the timing belt gears and timing belt which fits the two-speed lathes. The belt lengths and drive gear are different on the two-speed lathes and those parts won't work if you have a single speed. The motor-side timing belt pulley is not keyed nor does it have a set screw. You'll need to find a way to secure it to your motor shaft. I drilled and tapped a set screw. You should note that these are noisy. Much more so than the plastic gears. I've included a video showing them running on my lathe. I would definitely buy these again regardless of fit and finish.
