I just love this anvil. Ideal for knife making I have mounted it on a wood dolly to deaden the blows. It does everything I would expect it to do.

The well-tempered anvil
Sold my very large anvil and invested in this. Very happy. Excellent quality casting. Ideal for driving out kingpins and cold-tempering road springs at a weight I can move around if necessary. Strongly recommended.

Good value
Good value for the money, a little light for what youd want it for.

A bit rough, but for the price you can't go wrong
The anvil arrived in a well tattered box. When opened the striking surfaces was painted thick with grease and a thin sheet of plastic wrap. When degreased you could see the holes didn't quite line up and were pretty rough. An afternoon of work and it's a really decent lump for the price. Quality is ok, value good. Recommended. Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful

Just the job
For the price this is a great anvil, its not huge but big enough to do most jobs. a great bit of construction and generally a pretty good chuck of metal. highly recommended

Ideal for my post vice tripod.
Pleased with this. People asking far too much for old anvils and these offer a viable alternative. Shame we don’t make them in our own country!

Don't be put off by the pictures
Let's start with the good, I paid £65 for the 20kg vevor anvil and it was at my doorstep the next day. Not bad for a hefty hunk of steel(well, it's meant to be?) perfect size for something smaller and portable for home use or on the workshop bench. Pritchel and Hardy holes are welcome useful additions. Large(for its weight) workface nice and flat and well centred mass over stout legs so doesn't have the tendency to rock or jump when working hard. Now the negatives. Pritchel hole on mine is not plumb and has casting defects inside. Hardy hole edges razor sharp and chewed to bits. And the overall finish gives the impression that it was the last one cast on a Friday and the first one finished by the apprentice on Monday morning... BUT, I reiterate, this was a £65 new anvil delivered to my door the next day. Yes, the overall finish quality may be lacking compared to the product picture, but for the sake of 20 minutes cleaning the edges up and radiusing your preffered shoulders you really can't go far wrong with this product unless you are really pushing it's limits or abusing it with a 10lb sledge. Highly recommend for the hobbyist blacksmith, perfect for a small easy moved setup or as a cost effective entry to the hobby
