I chose this handrail as I liked the powdered coated black design and it's affordability. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. Although the instructions for installation left a little room for guess work. The fixings for the feet were not the size described on the advert. We only realised this as we decided to switch out the fixings provided for stainless steel ones to improve longevity, and initially used the web advert for reference, however thankfully we measured the ones that came with it before purchasing alternatives. We replaced the fixings for the feet, as these would be the first thing to weaken overtime (probably years), and although there is a cover provided for the fixings (picture 3) it is a loose fit and will not prevent the ingress of rain, (but certainly improves the appearance of the handrail). It's not essential to replace the fixings, the ones provided are commonly used, it was purely our own preference. The bolts that fix the rail to the legs (second picture) were too long for the application, leaving them sticking out by a approximately half a cm, so we had to cut these down, not a major issue as long as you have a small hack saw to do this. The black powder coating is very attractive but unfortunately is easily damaged so we will need to touch up some of the points where the installation has removed the coating, to prevent rust. (Everyday hand holding use will not damage the coating). The pivot on the handrail made it versatile so we were easily able to make it fit with our space and now it is in place it feels nice and sturdy. For the price of the handrail I'm pleased with the purchase.
